This year we're supporting a special organisation

In recent years we collected for the Shoebox Appeal at Christmas, and we've also supported children of families in need through a church, but this year we chose a non-profit that has a personal and special meaning for us, and now we'll briefly tell you why we chose them.

It's about a very dear married couple, friends of ours, who both work in the social sector – you rarely meet people today who are so dedicated and love their profession so much, who help adults and do it with heart and soul.

The motto of the VONESZO (Service of Former Educators) organisation is 'Happy parent, happy child' – simple, yet a great truth: children's happiness depends greatly on their parents' balance, and in today's hectic world few people have time to pay attention to this, especially those from a more difficult background. VONESZO was founded to support and motivate professionals working in this sector and in adult mental health, so that they can help parents support their children by first finding their own balance.

They run self-awareness, burnout-prevention and assertiveness training for people working in child protection. Their mission is to make these much-needed courses available at minimal cost.

At the VONESZO Foundation we have spent more than ten years working to support child protection. Professionals who work with children have few resources to develop their skills, which is why they decided it should become standard practice in every child protection institution that helpers also receive regular professional and personal support in their work, ensuring that they can work with children to the highest standard.

You can find out more on their website, and you can also support them individually: www.voneszo.hu

How do we support them?

This year, between 1 and 10 December, we'll donate 50 Ft to them for every drink we make and sell, and we'll transfer the amount before Christmas. Come and have a drink with us and support the professionals working in the social sector!

If you agree with their goals and their work has touched you personally, they also accept individual donations
